Aron studied piano at the Royal Northern College of Music in Manchester, from where he graduated with Distinction in 2005.  He continued his studies at the Royal College of Music in London, where he gained his masters degree in advanced performance in 2007.
Aron's teachers have included Mark Ray, John Byrne and Alexander Melnikov.  Aron has been a prize winner in both national and international competitions.  These include, 2nd prize in the Leo Weiner competition in Hungary, Laureate of the 1st Bela Bartok International Piano Competition, plus many more.  He was also a national finalist in the BBC Fame Academy Music Bursary award scheme in 2007

Alexander Ardakov

Aron has performed across the United Kingdom, Austria and Hungary.  Venues include the Bosendorfer Hall in Vienna, and the Warehouse in London.  He was selected to perform at the 2005 "Sculptors in Sound" in Manchester.  Future engagements include concerts in UK and Austria

Ben Shepherd - a brief biography
Ben began playing the piano aged 14.  Within a year he was offered a place at the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama, in its junior department, studying with Penny Davies where he won the 'Beattie' prize for piano.

Ben went on to study on the Bachelor of Music (Hons.) Program at Trinity College of Music with Alexander Ardakov.  After 2 successful auditions, Ben was selected to study his third year abroad on the Erasmus Program at the Academy of Music and Dramatic Arts in Bratislava with Professor Marian Lapsansky.  Whilst abroad he set up links with the Slovak composer, Juraj Hatrik, and has promoted his music in the UK.  After completing his degree with Philip Fowke  Ben progressed as a Scholarship Student to the Master of Music Program.  Ben aims to further his exemplary, cross-disciplinary, psychological research involving musicians and gymnasts at Doctoral level from January 2011

Aron Rozsa - a brief biography
Aron was born in Hungary in 1983 and began his music education a the age of six shortly after moving to the United Kingdom.

We are so lucky to have Aron and Ben coming to play for us at St Mary's Church on September 19th.  They were here last year and after requests from last year's audience have agreed to give up their time and entertain us once more with their wonderful talents.  They will be playing a selection of Chopin and Litzst.
