The bathing machines have been replaced by bathing tents.  Mixed bathing was allowed!  The Linnington family were beach tent proprietors for many years along Swanage sea front.

This card shows Peveril Point.  It was sent in 1904.  Note the Wellington Tower still has it's original spire.
